I have a 1992 Ford F-250. The truck will turn over but will not start and I am not sure what the issue is. I think it may have something w/ the fuel pump because usually when I turn the power on I can hear the fuel pump and now I cannot. I've checked my battery connections and cleaned the corrosion from the contacts inside the distributor cap to no avail. I know a little about automobiles but am still somewhat a novice. Can you help me out?

Optional Information:
1992 Ford F-250

Already Tried:
* clean/replaced battery terminals * removed corrosion from distributor cap

Reply to Fordanswerman's Post: yes. I operate on the rear tank exclusively because the truck won't run off the front; matter of fact that one many times has pressure and discharges gas.

Reply to Fordanswerman's Post: No it does not.

Also, probably a sign of things to come, about some months earlier the truck began to run unevenly like it was having difficulty consistently getting gas or power. Also it would many times cut off when idling, at a stop, or in park.
