starter problems-Chevy truck S-10
Sent to Car Experts August 16 10:13 AM

Just installed a new starter(duralast rebuilt),and the truck will turn over but will not run. Also the headlights and inside lights will not come on until I try to turn the engine, then they last as long as I crank the engine. Also I checked all the fuses.

You need to recheck your work I think you left a fusible link off on the starter.Look for a loose red wire hanging somewhere near the starter. It will go on the big post where the battery cable attaches.Disconnect the battery first and if you didn't do that when you changed the starter maybe you blew a fusible link.

Reply to Davo/diablo666's Post: It's pretty simple, three wires, two on s post and the red battery cable on the big post. It could be a fusible link but where? thanks anyways.
