i have a 4x4 chevy s10. I pulled the old transmission out and put a salvaged one back in. After i was done i put the truck into gear and nothing happens. The transmission fluid reads full. When i put it into gear and rev it up the truck just begins to move barely. What could be the cause of this?

Optional Information:
1994 Chevrolet s10 4.6

Already Tried:
made sure all the connections were good and transmission fluid is full.

Hello, welcome to just answer

The most common causes of this are as follows.

1. Low fluid

2. Dirty, clogged filter

3. Bad front pump

4. Bad torque converter

5. Leaking internal o-ring letting pressure bleed by

I would say your most likely cause would be either option 3 or 5

You would need to have a transmission shop hook up pressure gauges to check it out
